LaSalle and Bell Hammer building 90,000 sq ft in Staines

LaSalle Investment Management and Bell Hammer have commenced the speculative construction of Strata, in Bridge Street, Staines.

The 90,000 sq ft, 3-storey headquarters office development completes in Q1 2014.

Joel Hawkins of Bell Hammer, comments; “Strata is one of only four new speculative starts in the M25 market during 2012 and is targeted at the increasing number of sizeable office requirements. The building has striking architecture, large floorplates, good car parking and is BREEAM Excellent. The location benefits from town centre amenities and close proximity to the M25 and Heathrow. This combination makes Strata ideal for a national or international corporate headquarters.”

Emma Goodford, head of South East offices, Knight Frank, said: “This is a major commitment to creating a striking building. We are forecasting lease breaks and expiries in the Staines area to drive strong demand for upgraded space over the next 24 months. There could also be new entrants looking for proximity to Heathrow and a high quality building in a prime South East town.”

The letting agents are Montagu Evans and Knight Frank.
