National law firm Clarke Willmott LLP has helped secure the land and build agreements for a £5 million development for Gallagher Security, a division of the Gallagher Group.

The firm’s Commercial Property team was instructed by the award-winning security specialists to assist with establishing their European Headquarters at Tournament Fields in Warwick.

Clarke Willmott dealt with the purchase of the land and drafting and negotiating the development agreement in relation to the build with teams across the firm’s Bristol, London and Southampton offices involved.

The deal was a joint effort led by Commercial Property Partner Peter Swinburn on the land sale and Construction Partner Hayley Steel on the development agreement and construction package. Related planning support and advice was provided by solicitor Leticia Mandra.

Hayley Steel said: “We are pleased to have worked on this significant project for such a reputable business and achieved a timely, efficient and satisfactory outcome for the client.

“This is a great example of Clarke Willmott providing a cohesive and multi-disciplinary service. This deal involved multiple specialist cross-office teams who worked together to solve problems and deliver results, offering the client a cost-effective, single source of advice on all aspects of their project.

“The developers have now broken ground at the facility, which includes an industrial unit, office space, manufacturing space, warehouse and a café for employees, and we look forward to seeing what Gallagher achieve in their new European Headquarters.”

Gallagher recently celebrated a ground-breaking ceremony (under Covid-19 conditions), with New Zealand’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, His Excellency Bede Corry; The Right Honourable Matt Western, MP for Leamington Spa and Warwick; and Nick Swallow, New Zealand Trade Commissioner to United Kingdom and Ireland in attendance.
