HCA takes space in Howard de Walden Estate building for London HQ

The Howard de Walden Estate has let 18,000 sq ft of offices at 2 Cavendish Square in London’s West End to HCA International.

The US’s largest healthcare provider has taken a 15-year lease on the lower ground to third floors for its London HQ. HCA operates an international network of hospitals, outpatient centres and clinics.

Six floors of the prominent Marylebone building have been comprehensively refurbished behind a period façade to create Grade A office space. The refurbishment included a remodeled reception area, and the provision of cycle racks and shower/changing facilities. The only remaining vacant space in the building is the 3,200 sq ft fourth floor.

The offices are close to the Harley Street Medical Area – the internationally-renowned hub of clinics, hospitals and healthcare innovation.

Richard North, Head of Commercial Lettings at The Howard de Walden Estate, commented: “The presence of a prestigious medical hospital group such as HCA further confirms this area’s reputation as a medical quarter.

“The letting also highlights the continued strength of demand for high quality offices in the West End. The fact that it has completed despite the business disruption caused by the pandemic further underlines this.”

Gerald Eve and GN2 advised The Howard de Walden Estate on the letting. BGL Partners acted for HCA.
