Leading Midlands law firm Roythornes Solicitors has revealed details of its expanded Birmingham office amid a host of promotions and new recruits.

After establishing an office in Birmingham city centre earlier this year, the firm has now moved to larger premises to accommodate its expanding team. The new office is located just a stone’s throw from the iconic Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery and the Bullring,

Benjamin Smith and Emily Danson – who joined the business earlier in the year alongside Bhavesh Amlani, a former sector head at national firm Shoosmiths – have both been promoted within the real estate team to partner. They also join property litigation partner Bukola Obadun-Craigs, who was recruited during lockdown, and Kate Parry and Oliver Palmer, who have both joined the real estate team as solicitors.

Hannah Leese, a specialist food litigator, has also been promoted to partner in the firm’s Nottingham office.

Partner and national head of real estate Bhavesh Amlani said: “We are delighted with our strategic expansion and the promotions, which have been driven by a widening client-base. We deliver quality, commercial, and technical advice to our clients through a partner-led approach. The real estate department is the largest in the firm and we offer our clients a comprehensive full service on all matters.

“We have positioned ourselves to trade well throughout the year and have had a strong end to our financial year in June, with turnover up by 4% and net profit up by 10%.

“Our entry into the West Midlands market has helped to further establish our reputation as experts in our key sectors of housing and development, agriculture, food and natural resources. Having a deep understanding of the sectors we work in, and the particular issues that the industries face in these times, greatly enhances the legal advice that we can give.”

Roythornes was also once again recognised by the leading, independently researched Legal 500 this year, with its agriculture team securing a tier one ranking and many other departments also featuring.
