Salmon Harvester reels in another occupier at Cambridge South scheme, Sawston

Salmon Harvester Properties Ltd, advised jointly by Savills, Carter Jonas and JLL, has let Unit 3 at Cambridge South on Dales Manor Business Park in Sawston, Cambridgeshire to Building Product Solutions Ltd (BPS).

The company that designs and manufactures windows has agreed to a new 10-year lease for the warehouse unit totaling 12,529 sq ft (1,163 sq m) and will pay an annual rent of £9.50 per sq ft (£102 per sq m).

This is the third letting on phase one of the 68,000 sq ft (6,317 sq m) scheme, which will see BPS join occupiers including Plant Shake by Foga Ltd and Echion Technologies Ltd. Phase two is set to comprise an additional 63,000 sq ft (5,852 sq m) of logistics space, which will commence construction once the existing units have been let.

Rupert Dando, surveyor in the business space team at Savills Cambridge, comments: “Cambridge South offers premium newly built warehouse units in an excellent location within the city’s southern cluster. The diversity of users that Cambridge South has attracted to date is a testament to the schemes design and continued strength of the Cambridge industrial market.”

Rorie Henderson, director at Salmon Harvester Properties, adds: “We are delighted to welcome Building Product Solutions to Cambridge, they are a great addition to our estate and a positive sign of business expansion in these Covid affected times. We have a number of positive discussions underway with other occupiers, so watch this space.”

Ian Harrison, MD and founder of Building Product Solutions, says: “The opening of our Cambridge distribution centre marks another exciting milestone in our growth. Our new depot opens us up to the Essex, Kent and Anglia regions and we are now able to service the whole of England. We’re looking forward to making new connections and new job opportunities within the region and continuing our strong growth.”
