Workspace D&B wins Duke and Parr contract in Liverpool

Fit-out contractor Workspace Design & Build (D&B) has been appointed by CERT property to deliver the fit-out of the Duke and Parr development in Liverpool.

Duke & Parr is a Grade II Listed Building and historical gem in the heart of the Ropewalks area of Liverpool. The vision designed by Sheila Bird will create a lifestyle destination combining a modern workplace environment with complementary leisure uses across 3 floors of 2 connected buildings.

Workspace is expanding its portfolio across the north west with Liverpool a primary focus. The company is also working with Vermont in the city centre on a leisure unit.

Managing Director of Workspace Design & Build Russell Davis said: “We are thrilled to be working with CERT property on this exciting new development in the heart of Liverpool.

“We are aiming to breathe new life into this historical site and enable the community that will occupy the space, to experience its hidden charms.

“Liverpool is a really exciting market and one we see as an area for Workspace to grow. We have worked with the wider consultancy team – Sheila Bird and Sixteen Real Estate – on numerous projects in Manchester so it is brilliant to be working in the same capacity in a different city.”

Located at the intersection of Duke Street and Slater Street the building is a total of 57,000 sq ft across 2 adjoining buildings. At the heart of the building is a full height atrium space, creating a central focal point for the community of businesses choosing Duke & Parr as their home.

The scheme will be ready for occupation towards the end of 2020 and has spaces available for ambitious business, ranging from 150 sq ft to 25,000 sq ft.

Tom Booth, Head of Brand and Marketing at CERT property said: Duke & Parr is without doubt a huge opportunity to create Liverpool’s best workplace environment. We’re on a mission to reject going back to normal, and for our tenants to go back to better. We believe the pandemic has shown the world that it needs to rethink the workplace into a more agile, dedicated space for collaboration and productivity. We’re planning all of this at Duke & Parr and will attract a variety of forward-thinking businesses the opportunity to become part of a new community in one of Liverpool’s most vibrant districts.”
