Dudley opens MIPIM campaign by sharing investment opportunities in Business Festival

Dudley Council begins its 2021 MIPIM (Marché International des Professionnels de L’immobilier) campaign this week, with a high-profile property event in the 2020 Black Country Business Festival.

On Friday 11 October, Dudley will be opening its doors to investors and local businesses to learn about opportunities arising through the multitude of exciting, forthcoming development and regeneration projects in the borough.

Director of regeneration and enterprise, Helen Martin will be highlighting the wealth of investment opportunities, explaining why the time is now for Dudley. The event is digital and is scheduled to run from 11am for one hour. It marks the start of Dudley’s MIPIM campaign, which aims to attract investment interest in the borough from both domestic and international organisations.

Every year, more than 25,000 real estate professionals from around the world attend four-days of events, conferences, exhibitions, at MIPIM in France. Plans were all put on hold this year when it was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The 2021 property exhibition is due to take place from 16 to 19 March.

Dudley is an area that is really flourishing. As the historic capital of the Black Country is in the midst of an exciting new chapter in its history with multi-million pound business, transport and retail developments which are set to define a generation.

Cllr Patrick HarleyCouncillor Patrick Harley, leader of the council, said: “Despite the recent turn in events, there is still unprecedented levels of forthcoming investment opportunities in the borough over the next decade. “This is Dudley’s time to build, connect and grow. We are going to make our borough an even greater place to live, work and enjoy leisure time and we are looking forward to sharing this at the Business Festival.”

Dudley also supports the Black Country Business Festival as a partner and the ‘Time is Now’ event is part of a 100-strong programme taking place over nine days. It is aimed at investors and local businesses who want to know more about regeneration projects and investment opportunities across the borough.
