Ark Data Centres has acquired Renault Retail Group’s west London site on Western Avenue, Park Royal.
The transaction allows Renault Retail Group to remain on site for up to 2 years following which the 5-acre site will be redeveloped into a state-of-the-art energy efficient data centre powered by renewable electricity.
The site occupies one of the most prime, prominent industrial locations in London and attracted very strong interest from bidders.
Commenting on the transaction, Ark Data Centres CEO Huw Owen said: “Ark are delighted to have been able to acquire this site from Renault Retail Group, which has been in their ownership for many years, and in so doing effect our third London acquisition in the past 12 months.”
Renault Retail Group UK MD Ludovic Troyes said: “We are very happy to conclude this sale to Ark which opens an exciting new future representation opportunity in West London for Renault Retail Group and our customers, whilst maintaining our business over the next two years from our current home ensuring our customers purchase and maintenance needs are met.”
Ark Data Centres was represented in the transaction by Cushman & Wakefield, Renault Retail Group by APC.
